20th City Council Backs Mayor Klarex Uy’s Vision: City College of CDO Ordinance Authored by Councilor Suzette Magtajas-Daba Approves Dr. Babia’s Appointment as UC President III - Image 1

On February 17, 2025, the 20th City Council officially approved Resolution No. 2025-974 during its 112th Regular Session, confirming the appointment of Dr. Jestoni P. Babia as University College (UC) President III, Item 21, with Salary Grade 29 of the City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO).

In the previous 111th Regular Session, the council agreed to conduct further deliberations by inviting concerned agencies, including personnel from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM). The session, chaired by Majority Floor Leader Hon. Edgar S. Cabanlas, helped clarify key matters prior to the final decision.
