INDIGENOUS STUDIES OF LIFE AND RITUALS | BANGKASO

Bangkaso is a sacred Higaonon cultural tradition that serves as the altar of prayers and gratitude a spiritual bridge between the community and the Creator. Rooted in the upland communities of Northern Mindanao, the Bangkaso embodies the people’s deep connection with nature, faith, and ancestral heritage. This cultural practice highlights the Higaonon tribe’s indigenous wisdom in maintaining harmony with the environment offering prayers for good harvests, peace, healing, and balance in the ecosystem.
