Mandate


This office focuses on establishing the institution’s brand, promoting business development, and global engagement. It is responsible for forging international partnerships & enterprise building, enhancing the college's global presence, and fostering media relations.

General Responsibilities
  1. Funding and Partnership

    Secures funding partnerships with international organizations, governmental agencies, NGOs, and private sector entities to support internationalization efforts, SDG initiatives, global projects, and business development.
  2. Community Engagement

    Engages with local communities primarily within the context of business development, and internationalization efforts, ensuring their interests are considered in global initiatives.
  3. Project Management

    Oversees internationalization, SDG-related, and global projects, enterprise building, ensuring alignment with global development objectives and community needs if applicable.
  4. Policy and Advocacy

    Advocates for internationalization and SDGs both internally and externally, including through public speaking, media outreach, and promotional activities. Participates in policy development to support global initiatives.
  5. Impact Measurement

    Manages budgets and allocates resources to support business development, internationalization, SDG, and global projects, including promotional and marketing activities.
  6. Resource Allocation

    Establishes KPIs and metrics to measure the impact of business development, internationalization, and SDG initiatives on a global scale.
  7. Promotions, Advertising, Marketing

    Develops and executes promotional, advertising, and marketing strategies to enhance the visibility of business development, and internationalization efforts, attract international students, and promote global initiatives.

James Patrick R. Santos

James Patrick "JP" Santos is a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment and equitable education. His professional journey reflects a commitment to these causes, starting from his tenure as a staff member at Teach for the Philippines, followed by his role as the Youth Development Officer for the City Government of Cagayan de Oro, and currently as the Director for International Linkages & Promotions. In his current position, JP spearheads efforts to foster collaborations in internationalization, business development, and public relations.

Through his diverse roles, JP has honed invaluable skills in project management, organizational development, stakeholder engagement, policy formulation, systems thinking, and strategic planning. His experiences have equipped him with a nuanced understanding of how to effect positive change within communities and organizations.

JP's academic background includes a degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing Management from Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan, supplemented by participation in specialized courses such as the Skills Forecasting for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Short Course facilitated by the Australian Awards. Additionally, he has enriched his knowledge through programs like the Academy of Political Management by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung - Philippines and the Leadership and Management of Change for Development Managers course by the Asian Institute of Management.

Recognized for his outstanding contributions, JP has received accolades from esteemed organizations such as the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) Foundation, Positive Youth Development Network, and the Mindanao Daily News & Veterans Bank. Notably, he was honored as the Outstanding Mindanaoan in Governance & Leadership - Youth Category in 2020, underscoring his significant impact in the field.

Outside of his professional endeavors, JP generously shares his expertise as a resource person for local government units (LGUs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) seeking guidance on youth development programming. His dedication extends beyond the confines of his official duties, reflecting a genuine commitment to fostering positive change and empowering future generations.

The Global Partnerships & Exchange Programs Officer is responsible for cultivating and managing international partnerships, negotiating agreements, and overseeing exchange programs while promoting them to prospective participants and raising awareness through collaboration with the PR & Communications team.

Director for International Linkages and Promotions. The Director for International Linkages & Promotions oversees all aspects of the office's operations, including planning, budgeting, and reporting, while establishing procedures for effective functioning. Additionally, he/she serves as the official representative for the office in various internationalization, business development, and PR & communications activities, along with undertaking other delegated functions from the President.


Global Partnerships and Exchange Programs Officer. The Global Partnerships & Exchange Programs Officer is responsible for cultivating and managing international partnerships, negotiating agreements, and overseeing exchange programs while promoting them to prospective participants and raising awareness through collaboration with the PR & Communications team.


Public Relation, Communications & Promotions Officer. Public Relation, Communications & Promotions Associate. The PR, Comms, and Promotions Associate is responsible for assisting the PR, Comms, and Promotions Officer in establishing media relations, preparing partnership proposals, and implementing marketing strategies to promote City College offerings. He/She also provides documentation assistance during promotional events, manages media platforms, updates social media plans, maintains partner databases, documents event coverage, and performs other assigned tasks by the Officer and/or Director.
