Libertad, Misamis Oriental – Esteemed speaker, President Jestoni P. Babia of City College of Cagayan de Oro led a two-day seminar on Organizational Development and Culture, hosted by the Division of Misamis Oriental under the leadership of Dr. Edilberto L. Oplenaria. The event, held from February 12-13, 2025 at C Resort in Libertad, Misamis Oriental, was designed to enhance the leadership and management capabilities of the division heads.

The seminar featured four key modules covering essential topics such as defining and studying organizational leadership, systems thinking in academic organizations, the competing values framework for organizational culture, and the 21st century action learning process. Babia's insightful presentations were complemented by contributions from Dr. Donna Grace Cotejo and Prof. Charlie Job Sumili who discussed Competing Values Framework. Participants, consisting of 193 division heads, praised the relevance and interactive nature of the sessions, particularly the application of action learning methodologies. Mary Ann M. Allera, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, noted, "The modules provided us with practical frameworks that we can immediately apply to foster a more effective and cohesive organizational culture within our division."

Under Dr. Oplenaria's guidance, the Division of Misamis Oriental continues to prioritize professional development initiatives, ensuring that its leaders are well-equipped to navigate the evolving educational landscape. As Dr. Oplenaria expressed, "This seminar is an evidence to our dedication to equipping our leaders with the necessary tools and strategies to navigate the evolving educational landscape."

On the other hand, Ms. Irish Karylle D. Monte, PhD, SEPS-HRD, who delivered the Statement of Purpose, emphasized the seminar's role in shaping the future of the division. "This training has equipped us with innovative approaches to lead our organizations towards greater success in the 21st century," she said. The two-day seminar led by Jestoni P. Babia was a testament to the Division of Misamis Oriental's commitment to excellence in leadership and management, positioning its administrators for success in the years to come.
