Surabaya, Indonesia – Dr. Joel D. Potane, Research Director of Urban Nexus for Licensing, Intellectual Property, Research, Innovation, and Creative Enterprise (UNLIRICE) at the City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO), joins fellow international participants through a full scholarship grant at the Community and Technological (CommTech) Camp Insight 2025, hosted by the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Indonesia. The short-term program, running from February 20 to March 3, 2025, carries the theme, "Solving Local Problems with Global Knowledge," emphasizing technology-driven solutions for societal challenges.

The 12-day immersive experience provides Dr. Potane with firsthand exposure to cutting-edge technological developments at ITS, offering valuable insights into how innovations can effectively address community needs. The program features a dynamic curriculum comprising workshops, hands-on activities, and expert-led discussions centered on emerging technologies, sustainable solutions, and community applications. One of the highlights of CommTech Insight Camp 2025 is its alignment with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through interactive sessions with ITS specialists and global experts, Dr. Potane will explore technological advancements that support environmental sustainability, economic growth, and social development.

Beyond academic and professional engagements, the program fosters cross-cultural collaboration, allowing participants to exchange best practices and perspectives on applying technology for social good.
