DAVAO CITY— The City College of Cagayan de Oro proudly marks a significant milestone in its growing research journey with multiple recognitions at the 2nd TVET Research Biennial Conference, held on May 19–20, 2025, in Davao City.

At the forefront of this achievement is Prof. Charlie Job Sumili, who was awarded the Best Paper Presenter Award, organized by the Mindanao TVET Association, in partnership with the Unified TVET of the Philippines (UniTVET) and the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP). This accomplishment also recognizes the important role of Prof. Psyche Cambo, Prof. Sumili’s co-author, whose research expertise and collaborative efforts were integral to the success of their study.

Adding to the college’s success, Prof. Charlie Cosmiano and Dr. Charles Castrodes received a Special Citation for Poster Presentation, highlighting the creativity, clarity, and research relevance of their visual presentation. These collective achievements reflect the City College of Cagayan de Oro’s expanding leadership in the national research arena. They affirm the institution’s commitment to fostering a culture of transformative, evidence-based, and community-responsive research.
