Officials and representatives from the City College of Cagayan de Oro, together with delegates from City College of El Salvador and Opol Community College, conducted a benchmarking visit to Tangub City Global College (TCGC) on June 26, 2025, as part of their shared commitment to institutional excellence and collaboration among local colleges.

The activity aimed to learn from TCGC’s best practices in higher education management, specifically in NSTP and community engagement programs. As a local college of 41 years in the region, TCGC served as an exemplary host, showcasing its innovations and strategic directions in providing accessible and quality education. The group was warmly welcomed by Dr. Maricelle M. Nueva, President of Tangub City Global College and current President of the Association of Local Colleges and Universities – Region X (ALCU-X). Her generosity, along with her team, in sharing insights and institutional strategies added meaningful value to the learning experience of the visiting colleges.

This benchmarking visit reaffirmed the importance of collaboration and mutual support among local colleges in Region X, especially in advancing relevant and responsive education for underserved communities. Through this exchange, participating institutions expressed their strong intent to co-develop future initiatives and strengthen the collective voice of local colleges in the region.
