On September 5, 2025, the City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO) formally received 60 gallons of various paints and other construction materials from CDO Hardware during a turnover ceremony held at the City Mayor’s Office. The partnership was made possible through the initiative and strategic facilitation of Hon. Paolo Gaane, City Councilor of Cagayan de Oro.
Representing CDO Hardware was Mr. Miko Sia, while CCCDO was represented by College President, Dr. Jestoni Babia; Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, Dr. Mark Tan; and Director for Extension and Outreach and Linkages and Partnerships Offices, Ms. Herna Francis Mae Tano. The turnover was also graced by City Mayor Hon. Rolando “Klarex” Uy, together with Councilor Gaane.
This initiative underscores the shared commitment of CCCDO and CDO Hardware to advancing quality education and sustainable progress, in alignment with SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). It also highlights Councilor Gaane’s dedication to bridging the private sector and the academe in support of Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy’s RISE Agenda, which aims to strengthen educational facilities, promote sustainable community development, and ultimately foster inclusive growth and stronger partnerships for the Kagay-anon community.
