The City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO), through its College Library Services Office, strengthened its research network by initiating a Journal Exchange Program with partner institutions. The program aims to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among academic institutions while promoting research visibility and accessibility.
The initiative, led by Dr. Melody R. Agcito, Head of the College Library Services Office, involved the distribution of the Higalaay Multidisciplinary Research Abstract to partner colleges and universities. The journals were formally turned over by Dr. Joel D. Potane, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Technology Transfer Services.
Partner institutions that participated in the exchange include Bukidnon State University, represented by Chandrani Yves E. Estrada, Supervisor of Libraries; Central Mindanao University, represented by Prinyl P. Austral, Director of Libraries; Lourdes College, Inc., represented by Ms. Shiela Mae D. Llanda, Assistant Library Coordinator; Tangub City Global College, represented by Dr. Joseph D. Oniot, Director of the Learning Resource Center; and USTP–Jasaan, represented by Ms. Hazel B. Cuay, Head Librarian. In return, CCCDO also received research journals from these partner institutions, symbolizing a mutual exchange of academic resources.
This meaningful collaboration aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, as it underscores the value of academic partnerships in advancing research, innovation, and lifelong learning.
