The City College of Cagayan de Oro has once again marked a significant milestone in its academic journey as it officially enters the AD Scientific Index World Scientist and University Rankings 2025—a globally recognized system that evaluates scientific productivity and institutional research impact. CCCDO ranked 108th out of 187 public colleges and universities in the Philippines, 185th out of 335 higher education institutions nationwide (all categories), 4,092nd in Asia, and 8,721st globally. These rankings underscore the college’s growing presence in the field of research and scholarship, especially impressive for a relatively young institution.

This remarkable achievement is made possible through the relentless efforts of CCCDO's contributing authors and researchers, who have shown unwavering dedication to pushing the boundaries of knowledge. Their work spans various fields, contributing meaningful insights and innovative solutions to both local and international challenges.

Among those recognized as contributing authors in the AD Scientific Index are Dr. Joel Potane, Director for Research; Dr. Kurt Candilas, Vice President for Administration; Dr. Ray Butch Mahinay, Vice President for Extension and Social Development Services; Dr. Liza Chua, Dean of Curriculum and Instruction; and Dr. Donna Grace Cotejo, Director for the Office of Internationalization.

This milestone follows other notable accomplishments by CCCDO on the global academic stage, including its inclusion in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings. The entry into the AD Scientific Index further solidifies the college’s growing reputation as a hub for innovation and scholarly excellence in Northern Mindanao.

As CCCDO continues to invest in its research culture, infrastructure, and faculty development, it remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering a community where scientific inquiry and academic excellence thrive.
