The City College of Cagayan de Oro proudly took part in the 19th National Congress of NSTP Educators and Implementers held on July 2–4, 2025, at Golden Peak Hotel and Suites, Cebu City. Represented by Prof. Candice May B. Gamayon, NSTP Director, CCCDO joined NSTP leaders and advocates from across the country in a gathering that highlighted the transformative role of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) in nation-building. With the theme, “NSTP: Transforming the Youth Towards National Leadership for a Secure and Sustainable Philippines,” the congress provided a meaningful space for dialogue, collaboration, and renewed purpose in developing youth leadership.
The congress served as a valuable platform for shared learning and renewed commitment to NSTP’s role in nation-building. It emphasized youth empowerment as a cornerstone of national development, highlighting the need to equip the youth with both skills and values for compassionate, proactive leadership.
As an institution rooted in transformative and socially responsive education, CCCDO affirms its support for NSTP as a vital platform for leadership development and community engagement.
This meaningful engagement also aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). These global goals are echoed in CCCDO’s efforts to shape a generation of learners who are capable of driving social change, protecting the environment, and strengthening peace and justice in their communities.
