In a bold leap forward, City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO) has officially ranked 182nd among all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines—and 103rd among public HEIs—in the prestigious 2025 AD Scientific Index.
This recognition is groundbreaking for a young institution like CCCDO. In just a few years, the college has carved its place in the national research landscape—proving that academic excellence and research impact aren’t reserved for century-old universities.
The AD Scientific Index ranks institutions based on real-time data from Google Scholar, measuring faculty citations, H-indexes, and publication productivity. It is globally recognized for highlighting the scholarly strength of institutions and their researchers.
“This is proof that a local college can rise through purpose-driven research and innovation—especially with the strong support of the City Government of Cagayan de Oro under the leadership of Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy,” said Dr. Jestoni P. Babia, College President.
As CCCDO sets its sights on more ambitious goals, this ranking marks a powerful beginning. The message is clear: City College is not just starting strong—it’s soaring.
