The City College of Cagayan de Oro, through its College Library Services Office, received a generous donation of books and equipment from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints – Philippines, Inc. during a Ceremonial Turnover held on August 22, 2025, at the CCCDO Audio-Visual Room and the City Mayor’s Office.

The donation includes: • Four (4) desktop computers • One (1) laser printer • One (1) Epson L3250 printer • Two (2) barcode scanners • One (1) CZUR book and document scanner • A book allocation of 200 volumes through P&R Book Trading

Representing the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints – Philippines, Inc. were Anthony John M. Balledos, Country Director; and Melvin C. Malingin, Stake President, East Philippines Stake.

Leading the CCCDO delegation were Dr. Jestoni P. Babia, College President; Dr. Joel D. Potane, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Technology, and Transfer; Dr. Helmae E. Tapanan, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Dr. Melody R. Agcito, Head Librarian, College Library Services Office; together with CCCDO Personnel.

On behalf of the City Government of Cagayan de Oro, Hon. City Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy warmly welcomed and received the donation, expressing his gratitude to the Latter-Day Saint Charities for their invaluable contribution to strengthening education and community development in Cagayan de Oro. This partnership supports the pursuit of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education—ensuring inclusive, equitable, and lifelong learning opportunities for all—and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, which fosters collaboration to achieve sustainable development.
