Congratulations to Prof. Jonathan A. Madronero of the City College of Cagayan de Oro, together with co-authors Michelle Mendoza, Miriam Cordova, Rosalie Balmas, Priya Mankara Vijayan, and Dennis Primne Corbita, for the publication of their research titled “Evaluating the Reliability and Impact of AI-Assisted Tools on Argumentative Writing Competency Among EFL Omani Learners” under Springer, Cham.

This study examines the impact of AI tools, particularly ChatGPT, on the argumentative writing proficiency of Omani EFL learners. Using a quantitative research approach, data from 314 students reveal the positive effects of AI tools on writing skills, including task response, coherence, cohesion, lexical resources, and grammatical accuracy. The research also highlights improvements in learners' confidence, anxiety reduction, and revision practices.

The findings emphasize the potential of AI tools in enhancing writing competencies and supporting learners' psychological well-being, providing valuable insights for the integration of AI technologies in educational curricula.
