The City College of Cagayan de Oro – Technical Skills & Technology Institute (CCCDO–TSTI) successfully conducted its Night Caravan, bringing essential technical and vocational skills training right to the heart of the community.

This initiative aims to make learning more accessible, inclusive, and community-driven. By holding the caravan at night, residents had the chance to explore CCCDO–TSTI's training programs after regular hours—an opportunity that can lead to future skills development, employment, and livelihood. It also highlights the value of career and technical education while strengthening partnerships with local communities.

The Night Caravan featured interactive live demonstrations and hands-on activities that showcased the practical training CCCDO–TSTI offers, giving participants a glimpse of what technical education can bring to their lives.

The event was strengthened by the cooperation of the partner barangays, led by Hon. Julito Ogsimer of Lapasan, Hon. Alexis J. Dacer of Puntod, Hon. Leonard Jan U. Lim of Kauswagan, Hon. Rudy O. Lago of Bayabas, and Hon. Romeo R. Bacarro of Tablon, whose commitment to community partnership is deeply appreciated.

Guided by the unwavering support of the college officials, the Night Caravan became a resounding success. With gratitude, we highlight the contributions of Dr. Jestoni P. Babia, College President, and Dr. Helmae E. Tapanan, Vice President for Academic Affairs, for their unwavering support; Mr. Jerome L. Torres, Director of the Office for Lifelong & Professional Development, who served as consultant of the event; Ms. Omiyah O. Linog, OIC–Vocational School Administrator; and Mr. Mark Adrian Baa, Vocational Instruction Supervisor, whose leadership made the caravan possible.

Heartfelt appreciation is also extended to the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) Police Stations 4 and 5, as well as Cogon Station, for ensuring security coverage; to Engr. Ricky Ching for generously providing goods as prizes for the games; to the City Information Office for their assistance; and to the dedicated staff of the City College of Cagayan de Oro, whose commitment made the Night Caravan a remarkable success.

This initiative paves the way for a more skilled future, empowering Kagay-anons with practical training for immediate employment and long-term career growth.
