In a significant effort to strengthen its alignment with global education standards, the City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO) through the Office of Internationalization led by Dr. Donna Grace I. Cotejo officially convened the Technical Working Group (TWG) for the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings during an orientation held on July 24, 2025, at the CCCDO Library.
The orientation marked the formal integration of the Central Student Government (CSG) officers into the TWG, reinforcing the institution's commitment to inclusive governance and student-driven sustainability initiatives.
The session focused on the evaluation tools and key performance indicators based on six Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which will serve as guiding measures in CCCDO's journey toward global ranking. These include SDG 1 – No Poverty, SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 5 – Gender Equality, SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals.
The CSG's inclusion in the TWG not only amplifies student representation in institutional affairs but also enhances the college's participatory approach to data gathering, program implementation, and strategic planning aligned with the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
By leveraging the collective strength of faculty, administration, and student leaders, CCCDO positions itself as a proactive and globally responsive academic institution, ready to scale its impact through transparency, innovation, and sustainability.
