On February 14, 2025, class officers from the Technical Skills and Technology Institute (TSTI) at City College of Cagayan de Oro took part in a Student Body Organization (SBO) Workshop and Elections. The activity was attended by class presidents, vice presidents, and secretaries from various qualifications, all geared toward fostering leadership, teamwork, and active student participation.

The workshop was facilitated by Ms. Cherry Casiรฑo and featured interactive sessions focused on self-awareness, interpersonal understanding, and leading with resilience and integrity. Designed to empower student leaders, the workshop emphasized the importance of strong values and purposeful leadership in building a positive school environment.

The program concluded with the election of SBO officers among the participating class leaders, setting the stage for a more unified and proactive student representation.

The SBO Workshop and Elections align with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 (Quality Education) and 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). This activity fosters youth leadership, democratic participation, collaboration, and integrityโ€”crucial foundations for empowered, responsible, and future-ready student leaders.

This initiative also aimed to strengthen the organizational competencies of the newly elected officers, enhance their capacity to plan and implement student-driven initiatives, and cultivate a deeper sense of accountability and collaboration within the student body.
