The Central Student Government (CSG) of City College of Cagayan de Oro successfully organized Pintig sa Gugma: A Valentine's Special on February 14, 2025. Anchored on SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), the event aimed to cultivate a safe, vibrant, and emotionally supportive environment where students could celebrate love in its many forms—romantic, platonic, familial, and self-love.
Three major activities defined the program: Safe Space 1.0, an open mic and message wall for heartfelt sharing; KANTAHAN Sessions, which showcased student musical talent and fostered cultural appreciation; and Pitik sa Gugma: A Love Photo Booth, in partnership with Oro Nexus Publication, capturing memorable moments of togetherness.
The initiative achieved meaningful impact by promoting student wellness, strengthening camaraderie, and boosting confidence through self-expression and creativity. It also extended beyond the event as students shared their experiences online, fostering collective pride and unity.
Ultimately, Pintig sa Gugma proved to be more than just a Valentine's celebration—it stood as a testament to inclusivity, student well-being, and the transformative power of community and love.
