The College of Education of the City College of Cagayan de Oro successfully conducted a benchmarking visit on October 23–24, 2025, at three esteemed higher education institutions—University of Southeastern Philippines, University of Mindanao, and City College of Davao. The initiative aimed to strengthen the college’s commitment to excellence by systematically evaluating and comparing institutional practices, programs, and processes with those of leading universities in Mindanao.
Through interactive discussions, site visits, and collaborative exchanges, the delegation gained valuable insights into curriculum development, research culture, digital transformation, and student-centered support systems. These learnings will guide CCCDO in enhancing academic quality, administrative efficiency, and student services—ensuring its programs remain relevant and competitive in the evolving higher education landscape.
Led by Dr. Charlito M. Castrodes, Associate Dean of the College of Education, the activity was supported by dedicated faculty members and key service units, including the Guidance Office, Library Services, and Registrar’s Office.
This benchmarking endeavor aligns with SDG 4 and SDG 17. By embracing collaboration and evidence-based practices, the College of Education continues to nurture globally competent, values-driven educators in Mindanao and beyond.
