The Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) of the City College of Cagayan de Oro organized a review and consultation over the policies and guidelines on local off-campus activities on August 2, 2024 at the Audio-Visual Room. Faculty members from the Higher Education and the Technical Skills and Technology Insitute clusters attended the conversation.

The consultation served as an avenue to revisit existing policies governing student activities conducted outside the campus. It aimed to ensure that such guidelines remain relevant, practical, and responsive to the current needs of both students and faculty organizers. During the session, attendees exchanged insights, experiences, and recommendations to address potential challenges encountered in the planning and implementation of off-campus programs such as educational tours, field studies, and community engagements.

Through this collaborative dialogue, OSAS emphasized its commitment to promoting student welfare and safety while also supporting meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom. The feedback gathered from the consultation will be instrumental in refining the policy framework, fostering clearer procedures, and strengthening coordination between departments involved in off-campus undertakings.

By creating opportunities for open discussion and shared understanding, the College continues to uphold its goal of balancing academic enrichment with accountability and student protection.
