City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO) faculty member Dr. Joel D. Potane has co-authored a published research article titled “Influence of Self-Efficacy, Teachers’ Stress, and Demographics on the Teachers' Work Commitment and Intention to Stay” in the Journal of Interdisciplinary Perspectives (2024), alongside Christine Joy C. Borres of Capitol University.
The study explores how teachers’ self-efficacy, stress, and demographic factors influence their work commitment and intention to remain in the profession. Findings revealed that teachers with high self-efficacy and moderate stress levels tend to show stronger work commitment and higher intent to stay.
