The City College of Cagayan de Oro – Technical Skills and Technology Institute (TSTI) successfully conducted a Community-Based Training on Basic Housekeeping at the Department of Health – Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (DOH-TRC) Region 10 in Upper Puerto, Cagayan de Oro City. The ten-day training, held from June 6 to August 22, 2024, benefited 30 participants by equipping them with essential housekeeping skills for both personal and professional growth.

The program combined lectures and hands-on exercises covering cleaning procedures, sanitation, bed making, and workplace organization. Participants gained practical experience in maintaining safe and orderly environments while developing values such as discipline, teamwork, and professionalism.

This initiative highlighted TSTI’s commitment to inclusive and community-centered education, bringing quality technical training directly to local communities. Through its partnership with DOH-TRC, TSTI continues to empower individuals with job-ready skills that enhance employability and promote self-reliance—contributing to the city’s broader goal of sustainable livelihood development.
