The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has invited Dr. Mark Raymond S. Tan, our Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, to serve as one of the four distinguished panelists for the Filipino Leaders in Advancing International Reputation (FLAIR) 2025: An International Rankings Workshop on November 7, 2025.
The FLAIR 2025 workshop aims to empower higher education institutions (HEIs) across the country to enhance their global visibility and performance in prestigious international rankings such as QS, Times Higher Education (THE), and Webometrics. The event gathers prominent educators, researchers, and academic leaders to share innovative practices that contribute to institutional excellence and global competitiveness.
Representing City College of Cagayan de Oro, Dr. Tan shared valuable insights on the crucial role of student affairs and services in building a well-rounded institutional identity—one that fosters academic excellence, holistic development, and international collaboration. His participation highlights how student-centered initiatives and community engagement contribute significantly to an institution’s reputation and overall quality.
Through FLAIR 2025, CHED continues to strengthen the capacity of Filipino higher education institutions to compete and thrive globally. Dr. Tan’s inclusion in this national initiative stands as a proud testament to the City College of Cagayan de Oro’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and educational excellence.
