We are honored to welcome Dr. Angelo Walag, Professor VI at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) and one of the 2025 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipino Teachers, to the plenary lineup for the APNIEVE International Conference and National Convention.
At just 32 years old, Dr. Walag has emerged as a national leader in innovative science education, known for integrating technology, creativity, and values formation in teaching and learning.
He serves as Director of Publication for the Mindanao Journal of Science and Technology and spearheads groundbreaking initiatives such as the Instructional Technology and Educational Content (iTEC) and the Continuing Professional Learning Course (CPLC)—developing interactive digital tools, learning modules, and gamified platforms that make science more engaging and accessible for teachers and learners.
Dr. Walag’s work reflects the power of human-centered innovation in education—bridging imagination, technology, and ethical teaching to cultivate a generation of curious, compassionate, and future-ready learners.
