In a continuing effort to champion public health and social awareness, the Health Services Office of the City College of Cagayan de Oro, led by Mrs. Capalaran Sabasales, school nurse, in partnership with the National Service Training Program (NSTP) and the City Health Office, spearheaded the HIV Awareness Campaign on November 7, 2025.

Held at the Audio-Visual Room (AVR), the campaign brought together students and advocates to highlight the importance of education, compassion, and global responsibility in confronting health-related issues. The event also underscored how HIV prevention efforts contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The program aimed to educate students about HIV transmission, prevention, and early testing, while also encouraging them to combat stigma and misinformation. Health professionals and guest speakers shared insights on the challenges faced by people living with HIV (PLHIV) and emphasized the power of informed and empathetic communities.
