The City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO) successfully conducted the ASENSO Phase: In-House Extension Project Presentations – Institutional Category last November 11, 2025 at the CCCDO Audio-Visual Room, showcasing the college’s sustained commitment to advancing community development through inclusive, impactful, and sustainable extension initiatives.

During the event, various cluster offices presented their extension project accomplishments, each aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The presentations highlighted how the college’s extension programs contribute to addressing pressing social issues through education, livelihood support, health advocacy, environmental awareness, and gender equality initiatives.

The ASENSO Phase serves as part of the Advanced Capacity Development for Extensionists (ACES) program—a strategic platform that nurtures a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement among CCCDO’s extension implementers.

A significant highlight of the event was the recognition of exemplary projects that demonstrated measurable contributions to the SDGs, community empowerment, and institutional collaboration. These selected projects will represent the institution at the upcoming ASEAN Conference for Extension on Sustainable Development Goals, organized by the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD), Philippine Association of Extension Program Implementors (PAEPI), and CCCDO.

The college expressed its gratitude to the panel of evaluators— Dr. Romeo Del Rosario, Prof. Jonathan Madronero, Dr. Ray Butch D. Mahinay, and Ms. Herna Francis Mae B. Tano —whose expertise ensured a thorough and meaningful assessment of the presentations.

The ASENSO Phase highlights CCCDO’s strong commitment to key SDGs— including quality education, gender equality, economic growth, reduced inequalities, sustainable communities, climate action, and global partnerships —reflecting the college’s broader vision of advancing sustainable and inclusive development through education, research, and extension.
