The Quality Assurance and Planning Office (QuAPO) of the City College of Cagayan de Oro, headed by Dr. Ma. Aira Chenessa Aguilar, together with QuAPO staff and Finance Director Ms. Rio Hillary Dalman, concluded a two-day benchmarking activity in Cebu City on November 20–21, 2025. The visit aimed to reinforce the college’s quality assurance systems and align its processes with sustainable and future-oriented practices.
On the first day, the delegation visited Cebu Technological University – Main Campus and the University of San Jose–Recoletos – Main Campus, where they examined organizational structures, accreditation requirements, ISO preparation strategies, and emerging approaches in quality assurance.
The second day brought the team to the University of San Carlos – Talamban Campus, where they explored QA frameworks, planning documents, and systems that guide institutional planning and decision-making.
The benchmarking engagements offered valuable insights that will support the City College of Cagayan de Oro in enhancing its QA processes, strengthening institutional operations, and promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development— advancing the institution’s commitment to SDG 4 and 17.
