On September 10, 2025, the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) of the City College of Cagayan de Oro held an exploratory meeting with representatives from Opol Community College (OCC) to discuss a potential collaboration on student leadership development initiatives. The meeting primarily focused on the possibility of jointly implementing a student leadership training program, with particular emphasis on revisiting and enhancing the Emerging Leadership Camp through a restructured and updated approach.

The discussion was attended by OCC President Neilson D. Bation, DM, and Ms. Rogelyn Abubacar, Head of Student Affairs and Services of OCC. During the meeting, both institutions exchanged insights on best practices in student leadership formation, shared institutional experiences, and explored possible partnership pathways to ensure the delivery of an effective, inclusive, and impactful leadership program. The dialogue underscored a shared commitment to nurturing competent, values-driven student leaders through collaborative efforts, laying the groundwork for future coordination and program development between the two institutions.
