The City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO), through its Gender and Development (GAD) Office and the Human Resource Management Division (HRMD), successfully conducted a two-day Gender Sensitivity Training and Wellness Activities on March 25–26, 2026. The initiative was designed to promote gender responsiveness, inclusive workplace practices, and employee well-being within the institution.
The training sessions provided in-depth discussions on essential workplace policies and social etiquette. Participants engaged in meaningful conversations regarding the use of inclusive language and the implementation of safe space protocols to prevent discrimination and ensure respect within the institution.
Additionally, the program addressed the emotional health of staff members through sessions on resilience and mental health awareness, allowing employees to reflect on their professional experiences through collaborative group learning.
On the final day, participants attended a session on maintaining a drug-free workplace led by Ms. Nicole Faith D. Neri and Atty. Juan Miguel B. Roa from the City Human Resource Management Department. The event also included a lunch food-sharing activity to build camaraderie, followed by wellness activities and services spearheaded by the PE Department under Mr. Erlouise M. Vargas.
