On April 10, 2026, the Technical Skills and Technology Institute of the City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO-TSTI) gathered trainees, faculty, and staff at the covered court for its Quarter 1 General Assembly with the theme, “TIBUOK: Together in Building Unity, Opportunities, and Knowledge.”

The assembly opened with a call for collaboration and shared growth as Vocational Instruction Supervisor Mr. Mark Adrian Baa emphasized the importance of unity in creating meaningful learning opportunities. This message was reinforced by Vocational School Administrator Mr. Karl Hein M. Pios, LPT, who encouraged trainees to strengthen camaraderie and build a supportive learning environment.

One of the major highlights of the event was the simultaneous Skills Exchange, where trainees participated in hands-on sessions to learn skills from other qualifications. Activities included vital signs taking, bed set-up, welding machine operation, and equipment handling, giving participants practical experience beyond their respective specializations.

The afternoon program featured more engaging and community-centered activities such as a unity dance, induction of student leaders, recognition of Project KAHANAS volunteers, and talent presentations. Team-building exercises and booth activities also energized participants and strengthened collaboration among different groups.

The assembly concluded with the announcement of winners, a shared meal, and a collective celebration, marking not only the end of the program but also the beginning of a more connected and engaged training community.

More than a routine gathering, the event highlighted CCCDO-TSTI’s commitment to holistic development by combining technical learning with teamwork, leadership, and community-building—key elements aligned with global goals on quality education, decent work, and strong partnerships.
