On April 28, 2026, the City College of Cagayan de Oro – Technical Skills and Technology Institute (CCCDO-TSTI) marked a significant milestone after successfully passing the Compliance Audit conducted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The audit reviewed both the institute’s Institutional-Based Training (IBT) and Mobile Training Program (MTP), focusing on how well its programs align with national standards in technical-vocational education. Among the qualifications evaluated were Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II, Barangay Health Services NC II, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I and NC II, and Housekeeping NC II.
TESDA’s audit team, headed by Lead Auditor Ms. Rachel C. Unson of RTC-Iligan, together with Mr. Arlan E. Garcines and Mr. Matt P. Macote, conducted an in-depth inspection of the institute’s operations. Their assessment covered key areas such as learning resources, facilities, equipment, and training documentation—ensuring that all components support effective competency-based instruction. The process was carried out in coordination with CCCDO-TSTI officials led by Vocational School Administrator Mr. Karl Hein M. Pios, alongside its trainers and staff.
Following the evaluation, CCCDO-TSTI earned a COMPLIANT rating across all assessed qualifications, a result that confirms the institute’s full alignment with TESDA’s standards and requirements. This achievement reflects the institution’s consistent efforts to maintain high-quality training systems and uphold program integrity.
More than a compliance milestone, the result reinforces CCCDO-TSTI’s role in shaping a skilled and future-ready workforce. It stands as a testament to the institute’s dedication to excellence, continuous improvement, and its mission to deliver relevant and industry-responsive technical education.
