On June 20, 2026, the City College of Cagayan de Oro, through the Extension and Outreach Office (EOO) in partnership with the Physical Plant Services (PPS) and the National Service Training Program (NSTP), successfully conducted the Brigadanihan 2026, a campus-wide initiative aimed at preparing the institution for the opening of the new school year.
The activity brought together faculty members, non-teaching personnel, students, volunteers, and community partners in a collective effort to create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming learning environment.
The College extends its sincere gratitude to the generous donors whose support contributed significantly to the success of the initiative:
Vice Mayor Jocelyn “Bebot” Rodriguez
Hon. Kenneth Sacala
Hon. Antuy Roa Pascual
Hon. Des Dahino
Hon. Alan Lim
Mr. Patrick Derecho
Likewise, the College recognizes the invaluable assistance of the following volunteer groups and partner agencies:
City College of CDO – National Service Reserve Corps (NSRC)
Philippine Air Force (PAF)
Tau Gamma Phi
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)
City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO)
As part of the Brigadanihan activities, volunteers participated in general cleaning and maintenance efforts across the campus. Classrooms and offices were cleaned and organized, selected areas were repainted, minor repairs were undertaken, and outdoor spaces were cleared and improved to ensure a more conducive environment for learning and student engagement.
More than a campus clean-up drive, Brigadanihan 2026 served as a testament to the spirit of bayanihan, demonstrating how collaboration among stakeholders can help build a learning community that is safe, organized, and ready to welcome students for another productive academic year.
Through initiatives such as Brigadanihan, the City College of Cagayan de Oro continues to strengthen community involvement and shared responsibility in creating an environment where learning and growth can thrive.
