Dr. Mark Raymond S. Tan, CCCdO's Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, has taken the oath and been inducted into office as a member of the National Board of Directors of the Philippine Association of Practitioners of Student Affairs and Services, Inc. (PAPSAS) for SY 2026–2027. The oath-taking ceremony was led by Dr. Rogelio T. Galera, Jr., Regional Director of CHED Region IV, and held at the Shercon Hotel in Batangas.

This milestone marks a historic achievement for the college, as Dr. Tan becomes the first Student Affairs and Services (SAS) practitioner from a local college to be elected into the PAPSAS National Board of Directors—the CHED-recognized organization of SAS practitioners in the country. His appointment provides a valuable platform to elevate the concerns and perspectives of local colleges at the national level, contributing to the continuous enhancement of student affairs and services across Region 10 and beyond.

More than a personal achievement, this distinction reflects the City College of Cagayan de Oro's unwavering commitment to student development, quality student services, and transformative leadership. It underscores the college's growing role in shaping policies, advancing best practices, and championing student-centered initiatives that empower learners and strengthen higher education institutions nationwide.
