The Guidance, Counseling, and Assessment Services successfully conducted the General Parents' Assembly for the incoming first-year students of SY 2026-2027 on July 20, 2026, at the Barangay Agusan Gym. The activity was attended by 139 parents, guardians, and authorized representatives.
With the theme “Parents as Partners: Strengthening Home-School Collaboration for Student Success,” the assembly aimed to strengthen cooperation between the College and families in supporting students’ academic growth, personal development, and overall well-being. The program began with registration, preliminaries, and welcome remarks by the Director of Student Affairs and Services, Dr. Mark Raymond S. Tan, CSASS, followed by an interactive activity that encouraged parents to share their hopes for their children. The College Dean of the College of Business and Management, Dr. Rowena R. Orbeta, CPA, LPT; the College Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Donna Grace I. Cotejo, LPT and the College of Education, Dr. Liza L. Chua, LPT discussed student life, academic expectations, institutional standards, available opportunities, and the shared responsibilities of students, parents, and the College.
Directors and heads of offices in the Student Affairs, Medical, Registrar, Library, and Guidance offices also presented their respective services. They discussed important matters concerning fees, school uniforms, student manuals, student conduct, health assistance, academic records, learning resources, counseling, career guidance, mental health, and psychosocial support.
An open forum was conducted to address the questions and concerns related to academics and student services. The activity concluded with a parents’ commitment sharing, a group pledge, and a photo opportunity. The assembly provided parents and guardians with essential information and strengthened their commitment to working closely with the college in helping students adjust to college life and achieve academic success. Together, as partners, the school and the parents, we AIM HIGHER!
