On August 17, 2026, the City College of Cagayan de Oro received a generous donation of 200 classroom chairs from Hon. Rolando β€œKlarex” Uy and his wife, Brgy. Carmen Kagawad Lorna Uy. The chairs were formally turned over by Mayor Klarex at the City Tourism Hall and received by college officials led by Dr. Helmae E. Tapanan, Vice President for Academic Affairs, together with Dr. Kurt S. Candilas, Vice President for Administration and Finance, and Dr. Montano L. Tapanan, Director of the Licensure and Board Exam Review Center.

More than classroom fixtures, the donation is a meaningful gesture of support for CCCDO students and their learning journey by creating a more comfortable and conducive learning environment. Through the generosity of the Uy family, a simple gift becomes a lasting contribution to the college community where learners can grow, learn, and aim higher.
