On August 20, 2026, Dr. Mark Raymond S. Tan, Director for Student Affairs and Services, participated as a resource speaker during the National Zonal Public Orientation held at the CHED Auditorium, UP Diliman Campus, Philippines.
As a member of the Technical Working Group (TWG) responsible for crafting the National Policy on Student Affairs and Services, Dr. Tan presented and discussed the recently approved CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 18, s. 2026, or the Inclusive and Comprehensive Policies and Guidelines on Student Affairs and Services (SAS).
His participation underscored the important role of higher education practitioners in translating national policies into meaningful and responsive student-centered programs and services. The orientation also served as an avenue for higher education institutions to gain a deeper understanding of the updated policies and their implications for the delivery of Student Affairs and Services.
The engagement provided an important platform for dialogue with fellow SAS practitioners from across the country, fostering a shared understanding and collective commitment to strengthening the quality and implementation of Student Affairs and Services across Higher Education Institutions.
