TANGUB CITY, Misamis Occidental β City College of Cagayan de Oro received recognition from the Commission on Higher Education Region X during the 2026 ASEAN Month Culminating Activity held on August 27, 2026, in Tangub City.
Dr. Donna Grace I. Cotejo, the Internationalization Director and the Head of CCCDOβs international ranking applications, received the award on behalf of CCCDO.
The recognition was given for CCCDOβs inclusion in international ranking systems, including the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026 and the World University Rankings for Innovation 2026.
βThis recognition belongs to the whole City College of Cagayan de Oro community. It reflects the work of our administrators, faculty, staff, students, and partners in making CCCDO visible on international platforms while remaining committed to local public higher education,β Cotejo said.
In the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, CCCDO obtained an overall global rank of 801β1000. It also received a 601β800 rank under SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. CCCDO also ranked among the Top 5 higher education institutions in the Philippines in the THE Impact Rankings 2026, based on its overall banded score of 53.7β60.6.
For the World University Rankings for Innovation 2026, CCCDO ranked 55 worldwide in the Culture/Values Category and 64th worldwide in Curricular Innovation for Future-Readiness.
Cotejo said the recognition also affirms the role of local colleges in contributing to global education indicators.
βFor a local college, being included in international rankings for 2nd year in a row is a renewed responsibility to sustain and improve our systems, strengthen our academic programs, and document the work that we do for students and communities,β she said.
The ASEAN Month Culminating Activity gathered higher education institutions SUCs) and 13 LUCs, which were hosted by Tangub Global Colleges and partner agencies in Northern Mindanao. This event is led by the CHED Officers of Region X and represented by the International Region Officer In-Charge, Dr. Arlita Ampola Minguez.
The recognition recorded CCCDOβs participation in international rankings as a local university and college in Mindanao.
