𝐂𝐂𝐂𝐃𝐎–𝐏𝐅𝐂 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐊𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭, 𝐒𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬

The City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO), through the Guidance, Counseling and Assessment Services Office in collaboration with the Peer Facilitators’ Circle (PFC), conducted the CCCDO–PFC Re-echoes: PeerKada Training and Peer Support on September 4, 2026, at LBA 103.

Held in observance of National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, the training, themed “Start the Conversation,” equipped 19 peer facilitators with essential skills in active listening, empathy, mental health awareness, supportive communication, and appropriate referral.

Through interactive discussions and role-playing activities, participants learned how to recognize signs of distress, provide initial peer support, and encourage fellow students to seek professional help when needed.

The activity reinforced CCCDO’s commitment to fostering a compassionate, inclusive, and mentally healthy academic commwithout judgment, connect with care, and never hesitate to seek professional help when needed.
