The PRO-CESS 2 sessions, led by Ms. Lea May Caburatan, aimed to equip the team with the necessary skills and tools to conduct effective community needs assessments, particularly focusing on the educational aspect. Held on March 9, 2023, and March 24, 2024, these sessions specifically introduced Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques to enhance the assessment process.

Officers from the Community Empowerment and Social Synergy Office (CESSO) of the City College of Cagayan De Oro were empowered to understand the importance of community needs assessments in educational settings. Ms. Caburatan guided them in utilizing GIS tools to identify educational gaps within the community, thereby enabling the City College to tailor its educational programs to address these needs effectively.

The sessions aimed to enhance the capacity of the participants, ensuring they were well-prepared to gather and analyze essential data. By leveraging GIS techniques, the City College can make informed decisions on varied initiatives, ultimately contributing to the overall development and improvement of the educational landscape within the community.
