In a press briefing hosted by the Cagayan de Oro City Information Office on August 1, 2024, Mr. Jett L. Torres, Director of Lifelong Learning and Professional Development at City College of CDO, officially announced the Kahigayunan Skills Education, Employment, and Livelihood Expo. Joining him were Mr. Josel Al Carmel Obenza, Representative of the Oro Youth Development Office, and Hon. Kenneth John Sacala, Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President.
This year’s UYportunidad Para sa Kabatan-onan Year 3 is a three-day event, running from August 12-14 at Centrio Ayala Malls. The said event will feature a job fair, skills demonstrations, a variety show, UY Talks, and more.
Organized by the Out-of-School Youth Development Alliance (OSYDA), in partnership with the Oro Youth Development Office (OYDO) and its member schools and organizations, this initiative aims to provide Out-of-School Youths (OSYs) with education, livelihood, and employment opportunities as part of the month-long celebration for KASADYA 2024.
