On July 16, 2024, City College of Cagayan de Oro (CDO) and Radyo Pilipinas Cagayan de Oro officially signed a partnership agreement for the internship program of future Bachelor of Arts in Communication (BACOMM) students. The signing ceremony took place at the Radyo Pilipinas station located at San Agustin/Apolinar Velez Streets, Cagayan de Oro City.
Key personnel representing City College of CDO were Interim President, Dr. Jestoni P. Babia; VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ma. Aira Chenessa B. Aguilar; and Director for Linkages and Partnerships, Mr. James Patrick Santos. Radyo Pilipinas was represented by its Station Manager, Ms. Mercedes Gualberto; and Broadcast Production Supervisor Ms. Pilar Bong Aban Sarangay.
The BA Communication program at the City College of CDO aims to equip students with theoretical and practical communication skills, focusing on media professions. The partnership with Radyo Pilipinas will provide students with an immersive learning experience in journalism, broadcasting, digital media, and corporate communications.
