A remarkable display of strength and teamwork was on full display during the highly anticipated championship game of the Panagtigi: Sportsfest competition at the City College of Cagayan de Oro-Technical Skills and Technology Institute. The event, held on May 29, 2024, in Barangay Agusan, Cagayan de Oro City, concluded with an intense battle for the quarterly overall-championship title.

This second quarter saw the Carpentry NCII and Plumbing NCI trainees, representing the Civil Works (Construction Sector), emerge victorious as the overall champions with an impressive 10 points. They were closely followed by the 1st runner-up, Barangay Health Services NC II (Health, Social, and Other Community Development Services Sector), who secured 8 points. The 2nd runner-up title was claimed by Housekeeping NCII-A under the Tourism Sector (Hotel and Restaurant), which earned 7 points.

The Panagtigi: Sportsfest competition this quarter featured a variety of sports disciplines, where trainees showcased their athletic prowess. The events included men's 5-on-5 and 3-on-3 basketball, women's 3-on-3 basketball, men's and women's volleyball, and men's and women's table tennis (singles and doubles). Each qualification battled fiercely, displaying not only their physical abilities but also their dedication and collaborative spirit.

This sports event is an integral part of the training framework that trainees undergo during their chosen qualification.
