On April 16, 2024, the Public Employment Service Office of Cagayan de Oro (PESO Cagayan de Oro) hosted a coordination meeting in the City Hall Compound, along with various government agencies to address the implementation of an Employment Reform Program in Cagayan de Oro City. Representing the City College of Cagayan De Oro, Mr. James Patrick Santos, Director of the International Linkages and Promotions Office, actively participated in the Technical Working Group discussion centered on the Local Labor Code, where he provided valuable insights into the proposed ordinance aimed at establishing the city’s employment reform program.

The following day, April 17, 2024, Mr. JP Santos engaged in the JobsNext Cagayan de Oro meeting, hosted by the same office. The discussions revolved around initiatives designed to enhance workforce skills for future job demands, emphasizing lifelong learning and training in emerging fields such as data science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and among others.

The City College of CDO expresses gratitude to PESO-CDO for the opportunity to contribute to these vital discussions concerning the development of programs for the welfare of Cagayan de Oro youth.
