On May 21, 2024, sixty (60) Housekeeping NCII trainees from the Agusan Annex Campus and Kauswagan Off-campus of the City College of CDO-TSTI completed the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Seminar. This event, conducted by the Department of Tourism - Northern Mindanao Office, took place at the City College of CDO Agusan Campus.

This seminar is part of the DOT’s Mabuhay Training Program which aims to elevate the quality of tourism services in the Philippines to meet global standards in the areas of customer service, communication, and client relations, exemplifying the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence.

The activity involved trainees participating in workshops, engaging in discussions on the 7Ms of Filipino Values, and taking part in role-playing activities that demonstrated the HEART Method (Hear, Empathize, Apologize, Resolve, Thank the guest).

The workshop facilitation was led by Ms. Patricia Nor Sasil, Training Officer of DOT Northern Mindanao; along with Ms. Maria Reina O. Bontuyan, FBSE Regional Trainer; and Mr. Peter Begena, Staff of DOT Northern Mindanao. Additionally, Mr. Jerome Torres, Vocational School Administrator I, was present at the event and offered words of encouragement while co-facilitation was provided by the Housekeeping NCII trainers from the City College of CDO, including Ms. Omiya Linog; Mr. Mark Adrian Baa; Ms. Mariel L. Curit, Tourism Coordinator; and Ms. Cherry Hope Casiño, Assistant Trainer.
