The Office of Senator Bong Go initiates funding worth Php 900,548 for the Training for Work Scholarship (TWSP) under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Program to the City College of Cagayan de Oro – Technical Skills and Technology Institute (TSTI). This financial support, divided into two batches of 22 slots each, aims to empower Kagay-anons in the disadvantaged and vulnerable sectors by equipping them with construction skills specialized in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NCI & NCII. The first batch commenced last April 2024, with the second scheduled for June this year.
During the 2nd Quarter Orientation Seminar of TSTI held on April 24, Senator Bong Go conveyed warm greetings to the scholars and trainees via a video message. Additionally, Ms. Gay Failog, a representative from his office, also attended the event to personally meet and greet the student-trainee scholars.
The City College of CDO salutes Sen. Bong Go’s malasakit and commitment to advancing tech-voc education through his scholarship assistance to TSTI. The institution looks forward to cultivating more initiatives focused on uplifting the quality of life through technical and vocational skills training.
