On February 28, 2025, the City College of Cagayan de Oro proudly concluded 'Baybayani 2025: Klarex nga Kalimpyo,' a meaningful coastal clean-up initiative aimed at addressing environmental concerns and promoting community engagement. Held at Barangay Agusan and Barangay Consolacion, the event saw enthusiastic participation from nearly 50 faculty and staff members of the college, along with local resident.

Over the course of the day, volunteers visited 3 coastal areas within Barangay Agusan and Barangay Consolacion, collecting an impressive total of 30 sacks of garbage. This quantifiable effort highlights the significant impact of the initiative on the local environment contributing to the preservation and beautification of the coastal ecosystem.

The clean-up not only resulted in cleaner shores but also strengthened the bonds between students, faculty, and community members. By working together, participants demonstrated a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.
