In a grand culmination of collaborative efforts, the HABI 2024 summit, held on November 11th, marked a vibrant achievement in the empowerment of out-of-school youth (OSY) across the Philippines. Spearheaded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Education Development Center (EDC), Opportunity 2.0 has been a beacon of innovation and transformation, with Cagayan de Oro City shining as a key pilot site since its inception in 2023.
Co-organized by the USAID, the EDC, the City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO) through its Youth Leadership Development Center (YLDC) and Office for Lifelong Learning & Professional Development, the Out of School Youth Development Alliance (OSYDA), and the Oro Youth Development Office (OYDO), the summit highlighted the invaluable contributions of the OSYDA members and partners in transforming the lives of the OSY. Building on the remarkable achievements of HINABI 2023, this summit also served as recognition to CCCDO’s esteemed partners, marking it as a prelude to HINABI 2025– paving the way for more impactful and innovative initiatives.
Together, the threads of collaboration and shared vision continue to weave a brighter and more inclusive future for OSY communities in Cagayan de Oro and beyond.
