To connect education with employment opportunities, the City College of Cagayan de Oro - Technical Skills and Technology Institute (TSTI), in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Cagayan de Oro and Pilipinas Shell Foundation Inc. (PSFI), hosted the Kahanas Job Fair on November 25, 2024, at the Cagayan de Oro City, City Hall Quadrangle.
The event featured esteemed guests including Atty. Michael John Arceo from the Department of Migrant Worker-Region X; Dr. Jestoni Babia, President of City College of CDO; and Maria Elvy Dominicata, Senior Program Officer from the Pilipinas Shell Foundation Inc., who delivered inspiring messages on workforce readiness and economic empowerment.
Participants, including graduates, PSFI Scholars, and NC II holders of Housekeeping and SMAW programs of the City College, had the opportunity to connect with employers through on-the-spot interviews and gained valuable industry insights. Open to the public, the job fair also welcomed employers from other sectors, offering a broader range of opportunities for job seekers.
