The City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCdO) wrapped up its 2024 Year-End Evaluation, Operational Planning, and Presidential Citation Awards with the theme “BALINTATAW: Celebrating Achievements, Strengthening Bonds” on December 15-17 at Dahilayan IP Eco Park & Resort, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The event brought together cluster Vice-Presidents, non-teaching staff, and teachers for a meaningful reflection on the year’s accomplishments and a strategic outlook for the coming academic year.
Over three days, participants reviewed performance milestones, identified areas for growth, and charted plans for 2025. The gathering also served as a platform to recognize excellence through the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) and Presidential Citation Awards.
The prestigious Presidential Citation Award was presented to Ms. Ma. Victoria B. Trinidad for her instrumental role in founding CCCdO, fostering strong community ties, and building a dynamic leadership team.
In the Best Unit Head category, Dr. Joel P. Potane, Director for Research, Innovation, and Creative Enterprise (RICE), received the distinction. Meanwhile the Best Admin Assistant Awards were given to:
• Ms. Marivic I. Martinez (Admin Services – Physical Plant Services) • Ms. Anjanette Vicky Mae Escalona (Budget Officer – Finance Services) • Ms. Abygail L. Salcedo (Admin Services – Human Resources) • Mr. Hope D. Cariño (Admin Services – Promotions and Communications Office).
For performing Exemplary Behavior, awards went to Ms. Shellou Grace Sanchez (Lifelong Learning & Professional Development), Ms. Gemma Gonzalez (TSTI – Academic Services), and Dr. Jean T. Loquillano (RICE Cluster). The Best Organizational Unit Award was conferred on the Office of Student Affairs and Services, led by Dr. Mark Raymond S. Tan, Vice-President for Student Affairs.
This year-end activity highlights CCCdO’s commitment to continuous improvement in academics and services for students, partners, and the community. The insights gained from the sessions will drive future growth and strengthen the institution's to its commitment to excellence.
