On June 18, 2024, the City College of Cagayan de Oro - Technical Skills and Technology Institute (TSTI) held its 10th Graduation Ceremony with the theme, *"Building Tomorrow's Workforce: Expanding Access to TVET for All."* The ceremony, held at Ayala Centrio Mall - Activity Center, was graced by distinguished guests including TESDA Misamis Oriental Provincial Director, Ms. Marigold Cherie Garrido; Asian Center for TechVoc Educators, Trainees, and Schools (ACTVETS) Inc. President, Mr. Michael Vincent P. Dosdos Jr.; Official Spokesperson of the City Mayor Hon. Rolando "Klarex" A. Uy, Mr. Jan Guillmore Actub; City College President, Dr. Jestoni P. Babia; Vice President for Academics, Dr. Ray Butch D. Mahinay; TSTI Vocational School Administrator, Mr. Jerome L. Torres; along with partner industries and organizations who were recognized for their invaluable contributions in providing support, assistance, and opportunities to the trainees throughout their successful training journey.
The 10th Graduation Ceremony was co-organized by US Agency for International Development (USAID), Philippine Business for Education (PBE), and YouthWorks PH in partnership with First Community Cooperative (FICCO), emphasizing the shared endeavors aimed at fostering the advancement of the trainees and the community.
City College of Cagayan de Oro - TSTI produced 419 graduates for the first and second quarters of 2024. And for the second half of this year, City College of Cagayan de Oro - TSTI will continue to dedicate its efforts to promoting inclusive and accessible TVET, and producing more individuals who can meet industry demands and contribute to realizing RISE for the city and its Kagay-anons.
